Reviews
“…Clapp lets the deep humanity of the poet subtly emerge from the irrepressible wit of the cultivated curmudgeon…”
“… Anyone who loves Robert Frost and his poetry cannot fail to be moved by Gordon Clapp in 'This Verse Business.'"
- Times Argus
“…Dolan's script weaves Frost's poetry and personal views into a seamless piece of theater, which Clapp delivers with authentic New England wit and charm. Clapp himself hails from New Hampshire, and seems to have been made for this role…a must-see!”- Broadway World
“…We've seen this kind of thing before, of course - Hal Holbrook and Julie Harris pulled the same trick with Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson, respectively, years ago. This Verse Business, however, strikes me as a bit more complex than either of those two one-man (or -woman) warhorses…””
- The Hub Review
“…a lovely experience. Anyone who cares about this great poet - or his work - will want to catch this memorable performance.”
